One of our last semester Graphic Design Studio projects was to study and replicate an existing campaign with resources available in collaboration with the Advanced Photography sessions. We had to understand the campaign, make a guideline of the design style, the typography used, photography style, and more. After which we had to recreate it.

#RealPower Eileen Fisher Fall 2017 campaign
A pitch storied on Eileen Fisher’s 2017 campaign on Women empowerment. The campaign title packed a punch with women expressing their version of power in bold statements.
Amidst non-traditional models taping into their own potential power within they encourage everyday women to use their voice.

styling
Eileen Fisher emphasizes on clothes that are sustainable & environment friendly. Mostly organic cotton, these clothes were designed to last. Clothes for the modern everyday women with muted colors and earthy tones are primarily color-blocked.

photography
The black and white studio portraits were intended to be “both simple and intense.” The aim was to have raw & unfussy images, achieved with soft lighting, no props & simple black or white backdrop.

The women include Allyson Larkin, Lamis Moenes, Skylar Johnson, Rahema Amjad & Wacaba Masubuchi. These women were chosen because they inspired people around them.
They are seen looking directly at the camera as if nodding to the viewers that they too have the POWER to be proud & happy in their skin. And because “using her own voice” was essential to the campaign, the shots also feature a quote from each subject and a word that they associate with power.

extention of campaign..
An Extention: Combine a photograph with illustration to make a strong Campaign. The twist lay in bringing out the fun factor rather than a very crisp or straightforward storyline.
